Official Announcement and call for submissions 

"JPAD Dermoscopy Section" 

In response to overwhelming and incredible feedback to "JPAD Composite Clinical Image Gallery section" published in 1^st issue of JPAD (Vol 36(1) Jan-Mar, 2026) and the growing importance of precision imaging in our field, the Journal of Pakistan Association of Dermatologists (JPAD) is pleased to announce the launch of a dedicated new section

 "Dermoscopy Insights" 

Starting from the upcoming edition [2^nd issue of JPAD], this section will serve as a specialized educational platform for high-impact dermoscopic cases. We invite dermatologists and residents to submit cases that demonstrate the diagnostic power of dermoscopy in daily practice.

Submission Guidelines for JPAD Dermoscopy section

To maintain the highest publication quality, all submissions must adhere to the following criteria:

Case Details: A brief, 2-line clinical scenario

Consent: Signed patient consent form for publication/educational use (attach copy for confirmation).

Imaging Requirements:

Clinical Image: A clear, naked-eye photograph of the lesion.

Dermoscopic Images: High-quality captures showing both Polarized and Non-Polarized views of the same lesion (where applicable).

Equipment: Authors must mention the model of the dermatoscope used .

Labeling: All images must be labeled properly. Use arrows or pointers to identify specific structures. use standard international terminology to describe 

File Format & Quality:

Image Quality: High-resolution (minimum 300 DPI, JPEG/PNG/TIFF format, at least 2000x1500 pixels).

Originality: Images must be original, unpublished, and contributor-owned (no stock photos).

 Relevance: Focus on common as well as rare Pakistani dermatological conditions 

Submission Format: ZIP folder via email; include contributor's name, institution, and contact.

Acknowledgment: Full credit as "Image courtesy of [Contributor Name], [designation], [Institution]".
