Conflict of Interest
- Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships with individuals or organizations that could potentially bias their work while submitting their manuscript to Journal of Pakistan Association of Dermatologists (JPAD). This includes but is not limited to employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert testimony, patents or patent applications, and travel grants received within three years of the commencement of the submitted work.
- Authors are required to fill out the Conflict of Interest (COI) form available on the ICMJE website. This form should be sent via email to journal@gmail.com or submitted directly on the JPAD online submission portal during manuscript submission.
- Financial conflicts may arise from various sources such as employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert testimony, patents or patent applications, and travel grants. These should be disclosed if relevant to the submitted work.
- If authors have no conflicts of interest to declare, they should explicitly state this in their submission.
- All authors must provide a signed statement regarding their conflicts of interest as part of the author’s declaration.
- Conflict of Interest statements for each author should be provided separately.
- Joint Declaration for No Conflict: In cases where multiple authors have no conflicts, this should be consolidated into one sentence.
- If all authors declare no conflicts of interest, it should be stated concisely.
